Green Chile Stew

Green Chile Stew

Soups and stews just really make me happy. I have to make huge batches and freeze them, because my husband really hates soup when it’s over 40 degrees outside. Which is a whole lot of the time where we live. I really only have 2 months to make soup where he’ll eat them freshly made for supper. I think his perspective on soup is probably the more popular one, but I just really like soup.

This recipe is a great everything but the kitchen sink style game stew. My favorite meat to make it with is elk, but deer, barbary, oryx, or pronghorn are delicious as well.

Ingredients

  • 2lbs tenderized steak
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tbs worchestshire sauce
  • 1 tbs garlic salt
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 cup green Chile
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 coffe cup water
  • 1 coffee cup of datilini pasta
  • 1 can of corn

Directions

Salt to taste serve with corn bread or tortillas
